What The Lab Result collects when you register interest in an event, why, where it is kept, and how to be removed.
Who we are
The Lab Result is a trading name of SONTAI LTD. Questions about your data go to info@labresult.co.uk.
What we collect
When you register interest in an event we ask for:
- your name and email address
- whether you are a student, a parent or guardian, a teacher, or other
- the student's school year
- your school, if you choose to give it
- a message, if you choose to write one
We also record the date and time you registered.
Why we collect it
To send you the venue, price, booking link and any changes for the event you registered for, and to tell you about related events for the audience you chose. That is the only use. We do not use your details for advertising, and we do not sell or share them.
The basis for using it
Your consent, given by the box you tick when you register. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will remove your details.
Students under 18
Students may register themselves. We ask for no more than a name, an email address and a school year, and we contact students only about the event. A parent or guardian can ask for a student's details to be removed by emailing us.
Where it is kept
Registrations are stored with Google Cloud (Firebase), the service that also hosts this site, and are readable only by the organiser.
How long we keep it
Only for as long as it is needed for the purpose above. We delete your details when you ask.
Researchers who email us
If you write to us about speaking, we keep your email and what you sent for the purpose of arranging talks, and delete it on request.
Cookies
This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time by emailing info@labresult.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
